The Meta Ads page does two things. It reads the ads in your Meta ad accounts, so Message24 knows which campaign a customer came from and you can pick a campaign when you build an automation. And it can report orders that came from ad conversations back to Meta as purchases, so Meta can optimise your campaigns for buyers rather than just messages.
Find it in Settings > Meta Ads.
Ad accounts
Section titled “Ad accounts”Connect an ad account
Section titled “Connect an ad account”- Go to Settings > Meta Ads.
- Under Ad accounts, click Connect ad account.
- In the Facebook window, sign in with a Facebook account that has access to the ad account running your campaigns, connect through your business portfolio (not a personal account), and choose which ad accounts Message24 may read.
Message24 asks only for permission to read your ads. It cannot create or edit ads, and it cannot spend money. This connection is separate from your messaging channels and does not affect them.
After connecting, Connections lists each business portfolio you connected with the number of ad accounts and the date. Each ad account shows its name, ID, currency and how many of its ads were found. Use the checkbox on an account to choose whether it is read.
Message24 refreshes your ads automatically in the background. Click Refresh to load the latest state on the page.
What it’s used for
Section titled “What it’s used for”- Choosing a campaign when you set up an automation, even before its first customer messages you.
- Showing a campaign’s real name instead of whatever Meta puts in the message.
The page does not show spend or campaign performance; use Meta Ads Manager for that.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”- No ad accounts found: the Facebook account you connected doesn’t have access to the ad account that runs your campaigns. Reconnect with one that does.
- Meta refused this account: reconnect Facebook with a user who can manage these ads.
- Meta could not be reached for this account: a temporary problem. Message24 keeps trying.
- A connection marked no ad access was connected without permission to read ads. Connect again and grant it.
Order conversions
Section titled “Order conversions”Conversion reporting tells Meta when a conversation that started from one of your ads turned into an order. Orders from conversations that didn’t start from an ad, and orders without a total, are not reported.
Choose when an order counts as a purchase
Section titled “Choose when an order counts as a purchase”Under When should an order count as a purchase?, pick one:
- Don’t report orders: Meta learns nothing about your orders. Your ads still work; they optimise for conversations rather than purchases.
- When the order is created: the largest, fastest signal, but orders you later cancel stay counted.
- When you confirm the order: recommended. The customer has committed to buy, soon enough after the ad click for Meta to attribute it.
- When the order is delivered: only counts what you actually fulfilled, but a delivery days after the click may fall outside the window Meta can attribute.
Set up a dataset for each channel
Section titled “Set up a dataset for each channel”Meta keeps one dataset per Page, so each Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp channel is set up separately. There is nothing to fill in: Message24 creates it using the channel connection you already have.
- Under Datasets, find the channel.
- Click Set up. The channel changes to Reporting to Meta.
- Use Pause to stop reporting for a channel and Resume to start again.
If you have no Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp channel yet, connect one first. If setup says the channel needs reconnecting or that Meta hasn’t granted permission, reconnect the channel; if it still fails, the permission may still be awaiting Meta’s approval.
Recently reported
Section titled “Recently reported”Recently reported lists recent orders and whether each was sent, skipped, retrying, rejected or pending.
